Sleeping Landscapes
I went back to my hometown with a single obsession: to photograph my childhood landscapes, to capture something of that magical place where I grew up, played, and dreamed for so long. These landscapes are mine - as if I had never left, as if I were just an extension of these fields, these trees and these rivers, and were only returning to their arms.
I took pictures of them, but something was missing. Using artificial intelligence, I tried to transform these empty landscapes into images.
The pictures I’ve taken seem to come from another time, before or after humanity, standing somewhere between the magical re-enchantment of the flora and the feeling of having left the world behind. Nature seems to be dreaming, as if these pictures were the manifestation of its own fantasies: without joy or tragedy, nature’s emotions are quiet - landscapes are sleeping.
